Beware the overheated preggo

I learned something today:  102 degrees + 19 weeks pregnant = cranky.  Actually, beyond cranky. Maybe a little bit hostile.

Don't get me wrong, it could be much worse. I could be my friend S, who is due in two weeks and roughly the size of Danny DeVito (but in a very cute way).  But. It's hot. So very hot. And I am so very cranky.

I would like to apologize to the salesperson in Sephora, at whom I semi-yelled when they were out of my Medium Beige Bare Minerals foundation. I would also like to apologize to the salesperson in Pea in a Pod -- it is not your fault that I've grown from a 36DD to a 38E in the last three weeks. And finally, I would like to apologize to my dear husband, who gamely followed me from shop to shop all afternoon, and witnessed some pretty bad behavior.

I hope that everyone else in hot weather is staying cool -- physically as well as mentally!

I am inside an air conditioned house plenty of the time and still am miserable with our 85 degrees... but seriously, poor you! That IS HOT... and it doesn't feel good when you are preggo. Let me just say I am glad you won't be 40 weeks in that kind of heat- it will be gone by then, yes?

And by the way, holy knockers! ;)

I'm afraid of my boobs right now. I went into this pregnancy a 42DD and I know they are larger than that now as they fall out of my bra when I wear it to the doctor. I dont wear one at home because, hey, I dont need to and it hurts like hell, but I am scared to find out what they will be when I have to buy a new bra!

You poor thing. What terrible heat. Don't worry about the sales people. They get treated worse everyday by mean people with no excuse. Dang, speaking as someone who already has huge boobs, you ladies are freakin me out! :)

Hello? Medium bare escentuals is like the size 8 shoe size...most common!!! Maybe you should take a field trip to Berkeley or the city and go to the actual BE store:)

Being hot blows. Time for a fake fruity drink by a pool! I can't believe you got your man into Sephora! What a trooper!

Time for a super duper camisole to help reign in the girls!

LOL. Yeah, it's hella hot. Funny, I wear the same bare minerals color...but they really should NOT be out.

Yikes- 102!! I was feeling the 80's heta too much on Saturday. We had a horrible June in NYC (cold and rainy) and somehow the weather gods are making up for it by giving us a nice July. Stay hydrated!!

(By the way I am that cranky when I'm not hot.)

Ugh! I hear ya. It hit 115 in AZ and I've just been a gigantic crabby pants!!!! The only respite has been our swimming pool and lots of ice cream and cold drinks!;-) Hang in there!

here from ICLW. Yeah team girl!! About the ultrasound to look at the heart. When we had ours, the tech got very quiet and squinted at the screen for what seemed like hours (it was probably 30 seconds). I don't know if she was counting or what. But then she looked at us and said all was fine. Just a heads up in case yours gets quiet. Congrats on your baby girl!

Visiting you from ICLW! Congrats on your little girl!! I'm a little jealous you get another peek at her in a few weeks. Are you feeling any more movement yet? I started feeling it pretty consistently after 20 weeks (I'm about 23 now).
