Sure enough, I trudged out to the family room with my pump horns and there he was. I shook him and flicked him and said "hey, it's 1:00 -- put the baby to bed!" He eventually got up and took the baby. I leaned back, turned on the pump, and watched E! through half-open eyes for 15 minutes or so.
After I finished, I started to make my way back to the bedroom. I heard the sound of running water -- WTF? I walked into the bathroom, and the shower was running. "Hon? Are you in there?" No answer. I pulled the curtain aside and found him sitting on the floor of the tub, water running over him. "I'm just so TIRED. I don't know how I'm going to make it to work," he moaned.
"Um, it's only 1:15," I replied. Silence.
"Your husband is a f-ing IDIOT!"
And then we started laughing. And crawled into bed.
Apparently I'm not the only one having sleep deprivation issues.

That's really cute ... AND really funny! My husband did something sort of similar recently - forgot to reset his alarm to normal time after having to get up early the day before, and kept thinking how strange that it was still so dark. I can't imagine how much worse it's going to get when the babies come! Glad to hear you guys were able to still get some sleep.
LOL!!! I can totally see that happening! Sleep deprivation is horrible. Glad you could both laugh about it.
That is hilarious!
That will be a story told over and over when chicklette grows up!!!
I really hate middle of the night pumping too!!!
Poor Mr. it IS a very funny story though. I'm pretty nervous at how my Mr. will handle the noise and sleep deprivation. He's cranky if he doesn't get a full 8-9 hours EVERY NIGHT. I think I'm f'kd.
OMG I love it. Totally done it before too...even without the excuse of child-sleep-deprivation. :-) YIKES! (on the upside, what a relief to find out you still get to sleep a few more hours). :-)
bwahahahaha!!!!!
hahahahahaha that is awesome!
poor hubby :( I don't know how I'd be able to handle working with as much sleep dep as we have, I do feel for my DH.
Awww, that is hilarious but oh-too-true for us. I don't know how I'm going to do it in 10 days...I am the one who ideally needs 8 hours. hubby gets by regularly on 5-6, even pre-baby (now its more like 4-5 for both of us AAAGH!)
My verification word is "fulterde".
FULL TURD. LOL!
